Sales Manager

GTR™ provides technology products and services to trade-shows, meetings, conferences and events around the world.


As a part of our sales team in the role of Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading our sales strategy, training of sales team, overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team and meeting planned goals.


A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or commensurate experience is required. In order to succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to lead, manage and direct a sale team. Previous experience in a sales-management is required. This role will be located in our Charlotte, NC office.

Preferred Qualities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or commensurate experience.

  • 8+ years of previous sales experience with frequent in person, virtual and enterprise level account closings.

  • 5+ years of business to business sales experience.

  • 2+ years of leading, directing and managing a sales team.

  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.

  • Passion. Passion for life, hobbies, pets, books, sports, whatever it is we hire only passionate people.

  • Self-motivated. Desire to prospect clients, build lists, make cold calls, send cold emails and connect with incredible industry professionals.

  • Competitive spirit and the drive to drive their sales team to the top.

Key Responsibilities


  • Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue and expense controls.

  • Recruit, build and nurture a sales team.

  • Setting individual sales targets with the sales team.

  • Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.

  • Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.

  • Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.

  • Become a mentor to the sales team and nurture relationships with each associate in order to help them achieve their goals

  • Work with senior management to devise and implement innovative go-to-market strategies

  • Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our products

  • Utilizing a CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing

  • Demonstrated ability to hire high performing salespeople

  • Strong ability to coach sales reps to higher performance

  • Ability to accurately forecast future sales volumes

  • Excels at selling intangible solutions into the B2B market
